Field Service Technician

As AMP Clean Energy’s low carbon heat and power business continues to grow, we are on the lookout for an experienced Field Service Technician to assist with servicing, maintenance and troubleshooting engineering work on biomass heating systems. Main responsibilities of the role: 

  • Undertake routine planned maintenance
  • Basic troubleshooting and repairs
  • Performing routine checks and ash removal
  • Fuel level checks and report direct to the fuel supplier
  • Monthly checks
  • Reporting back to office
  • Providing assistance to Service Engineers for servicing and other works

The candidate will have the following knowledge, skills, and experience:

  • A mechanical background
  • A full UK driving licence
  • Experience with Biomass Systems is desirable but not essential

Person specification:

  • Excellent customer service skills
  • Excellent awareness of health and safety
  • Ability to work on own initiative
  • Ability to work as part of a team
  • Proficient with paperwork; service reports, H&S reports, timesheets etc

Remuneration:

We are offering a competitive salary which will be discussed at interview

Details:

  • Location: will be homebased in Norwich / East Anglia
  • Will be provided with a van, mobile phone, and tablet
  • Hours of work: 40 per week – 08:00-17:00 Monday to Friday, with additional overtime and on-call (on rota)
  • Annual holiday entitlement is 25 days. In addition, you will have an annual entitlement of 8 days for public holidays
