As AMP Clean Energy’s Renewable Heat business continues to grow, we are on the lookout for an experienced Regional Operations Supervisor to be based in Stafford to oversee the management and day to day running of Stafford Depot.

Working closely with the Regional Operations Manager you will take control of supervision and administration of your driver teams, implementing the company’s health, safety and legal compliance procedures, vehicle allocating and management.

Main responsibilities of the role:

  • Oversee the delivery of biomass fuel to end customers and internal sites
  • Support driver teams in all aspects of legal compliance
  • Ensure that all product is accounted for, and clear and accurate records of all stock movements are kept.
  • Always promote and adhere to Health & Safety protocols to company standards
  • To take responsibility of sampling and testing for quality control purposes of all Biomass products
  • Support your driver and depot teams on a daily basis and liaise with Regional Operations Manager to ensure deliveries are completed efficiently and safely
  • Supervision of the drivers and operatives with regards to adhering to company policy and guidelines, allocation of duties and depot maintenance requirements
  • Carry out regular performance reviews, appraisals and One to Ones with direct reports
  • Ensure that all drivers are appropriately trained and aware of all processes relating to their area of responsibility
  • Support the Fleet Manager in making sure vehicles are presented for service at the required times and liaise promptly in vehicle breakdowns to minimise costs.

The candidate will have the following knowledge, skills, and experience:

  • The position is a multiple-purpose role and therefore, being able to fully understand all functions of the transport and depot operation is mandatory
  • Health and Safety focussed
  • Evidence of strong leadership skills
  • Possess an LGV C+E Licence
  • A minimum of 2 years driving preferred
  • Holds a J2 Telehandler Certificate
  • Possess a thorough working knowledge of current EU driving regulations and working time directive
  • Strong communication skills both verbal and written
  • Flexibility to meet the demands of the business
  • Reliable and organised
  • Ability to use IT systems, including Microsoft office, FTA, Flexipod or similar 

Renumeration:

We are offering a competitive salary of upto £36,000 per annum for the right candidate and a company vehicle will be provided, which will be discussed at interview, plus access to a range of health and wellbeing benefits.

  • Hours of work: 40 hours per week, Monday to Friday
  • Annual holiday entitlement is 25 days. In addition, you will have an annual entitlement of 8 days for public holidays, and an additional day off for your birthday.
