Hackness Weddings & Events is benefiting from a new and improved biomass installation providing reliable, sustainable heat to its hotel guests.
The hotel’s former biomass installation was experiencing a number of operational problems when AMP Clean Energy funded and installed the replacement boiler in 2019. Under the rules of the Renewable Heat Incentive (RHI) organisations are able to do this with the boiler still being eligible for RHI payments.
The North Yorkshire-based hotel also receives reliable fuel supply and expert service and maintenance from AMP Clean Energy, taking the operational strain out of the heating system. Specialist biomass engineers maximise the boiler’s performance and efficiency, which is essential for the 19th century Georgian hotel.
An energy supply agreement with AMP Clean Energy provides Hackness Wedding & Events with low cost, low carbon heating over the long term. The 190kW wood pellet boiler serves the main hotel, courtyard and two cottages in the hotel grounds with all their heating and hot water needs.
Roger Brooks, Managing Director of Hackness Weddings & Events, said: “The biomass heating system is not only top of the range but its super-efficient, reliable and environmentally friendly. Couple with this the modern technology AMP Clean Energy deploy which means that you can control the system from a mobile phone, receive fault messages to self-ordering pellets, this truly is a superb system.”
Stuart Reid, Managing Director (Special Projects) at AMP Clean Energy said: “Sustainable, reliable heating is essential to Hackness Weddings & Events so we were delighted to fund a new boiler, along with expert biomass care from our specialist engineers. Any organisation with an ageing or poor running boiler should consider the option of a brand-new replacement boiler, which provides stress-free, low carbon heating over the long term.”
