Laurence is Chief Financial Officer at AMP, where he leads the Group Finance function and supports the business with clear financial insight, robust reporting, and strong commercial discipline. He joined AMP following five years at Octopus Energy, initially as Group Financial Controller and subsequently as CFO of its Services Division (a business that installs heat pumps, solar, battery storage, EV charging and smart meters) during a period of rapid growth and international expansion. 

Earlier in his career, Laurence Goodman trained as an auditor before moving to SGN, where he worked across a range of projects including corporate restructures, project financing, and due diligence, developing a strong blend of technical expertise, judgement and practical problem‑solving.
